Train Driver’s Diary

Serbian Film Festival

24 November 2017 - 10 December 2017

Statistics show that during the span of their career every train driver unintentionally ‘kills’ fifteen to twenty people. This film is about these accidental ‘killers’.

Ilija, a middle-aged train driver, spends most of his life in a cabin with his small dog. His girlfriend was hit by a train and killed. One day on the tracks, Ilija sees a ten-year-old boy who wants to commit suicide because he is an orphan and not loved by anyone, so he adopts the boy.

This black comedy makes fun of love, death and destiny. It is also about growing up, and making important decisions in life.
