Special guests include ‘The Russian Gypsy Queen’ Rita Kagan- bringing her unique, beautiful, soulful performance full of passion and emotions and one of most powerful, warm and mesmerising voices in Australia – Liobov Cosic singing traditional folk songs and Russian romances.

This huge lineup will also feature The Volatinsky Trio (a hit of Womadelaide 2013, with their Russian/Balkan-fuelled mix, featuring the 3 virtuosos: Lucy Voronov on cimbalom, Anatoli Torjinski – the ARIA-award winning cellist, and maestro Stephen Lalor on Russian domra and guitar), Bukhu – exotic Mongolian throat singer and horse head fiddle player, virtuoso accordionist and saxophonist Leonid Beshlei (from Lolo Lovina), acclaimed Russian violinist Leo Novikov (ex Moscow Philharmonic Orchestra), plus Alex Parkmen – an eclectic improvisational pianist, whose flawless high-velocity technique combined with charismatic artistry has thrilled audiences in Australia and abroad.
