Capricorn Film Festival
23 November 2017 - 26 November 2017
The Capricorn Film Festival is a not for profit organisation that discovers local, national and international cinema gems, and shares them with a diverse audience of film lovers.
The Capricorn Film Festival is held annually at the beautiful Gladstone seafront, where a crowd of thousands from all over Central Queensland, enjoy a night under the stars supporting local film makers as well as and entries from all corners of the globe.
We recommend you arrive early to lay out your picnic blanket for a stunning evening with family and friends celebrating a new and diverse array of filmmakers. Each person entering the festival receives a ticket for lucky door prizes including gift packs, meals and giveaways that will be drawn at the conclusion of the awards ceremony.
Shortlisted films are screened at the weekend event with a total prize pool of over $6,000 awarded between the winners of each category as judged by a panel of celebrity judges (actors, filmmakers and industry professionals).
The festival is open to any level of filmmaker, from amateur to professional and is supported by some of Australia’s premiere filmmakers and industry companies.
Capricorn Film Festival is a free event open to the community.
Capricorn Film Festival also offers many events throughout the year. To find out what’s on click here.
